I had the opportunity to take my niece and my friend’s young daughters fishing. What better place than a farm pond loaded with eager sunfish? We had a blast; I couldn't bait the hooks fast enough. These girls can fish! I can’t wait until they are old enough to cast a fly rod.

The fishing on the Lower Sac has been good. The afternoon has been the best time to fish when the temperatures begin to cool down. The trout have been big and eating caddis and mayfly patterns. The spring salmon fishing on the Trinity has slowed as most of the run has pushed up river to the hatchery. The fall salmon have begun to move into the system in good numbers and the river will be fishing great in September.

Steelhead fishing will begin in October. Call now as dates are filling fast.
